Chiropractic Services

Chiropractic supports the entire body through evaluation and therapy to the joints, nervous tissue, muscles, tendons, and ligaments. A comprehensive evaluation looks at a persons posture, range of motion, movement patterns, orthopedic and neurologic tests. The chiropractor also uses palpation to access the joints and tissues in order to make a proper diagnosis.

While back and neck pain are most associated with chiropractic care, other common areas treated include the extremities, such as ankles, knees, hips, shoulders, elbows, and wrists.

Common conditions treated include:

  • Back pain
  • Neck pain
  • Sports injuries
  • Motor vehicle accidents
  • Whiplash
  • Tennis elbow
  • Carpal tunnel
  • Plantar fasciitis
  • Arthritis
  • Degenerative joint disease (DJD)
  • Degenerative disc disease (DDD)
  • Sprains
  • Strains
  • Headaches
  • TMJ
  • Tinnitus
  • Vertigo

Chiropractic manipulation therapy (AKA chiropractic adjustment) supports joints, nerves and the myofasical systems. Joints in your body that are not moving freely can cause tightness, discomfort and can accelerate unwanted degeneration i.e. arthritis. When joints, such as the vertebra in the spine, are out of alignment due to injury, poor posture or repetitive movement, the muscles become tight, trigger points develop, range of motion is restricted, pain develops and function is lost.

Your provider will apply a gentle force with their hands, or with handheld instruments, in order to restore motion to any “restricted” joints. Sometimes a specialized table will be used to assist with these safe and effective “adjustments”. Joint manipulation improves flexibility, relieves pain, and helps maintain healthy joints.

COUNTLESS RESEARCH STUDIES HAVE CONFIRMED THE SAFETY AND EFFECTIVENESS OF JOINT MANIPULATION.

Not surprisingly, various medical authorities have endorsed spinal manipulation, including the American College of Physicians and the Journal of The American Medical Association. The FDA and CDC have specifically recommended conservative chiropractic care as a strategy to help resolve the prescription drug crisis.

Manipulation is Safe and Effective

“Manipulation provides greater short-term reductions in self-reported disability and pain compared with usual medical care”

“Risk of injury was 76% lower among subjects with a chiropractic office

visit as compared to those who saw a primary care physician.”

If you or someone you know is experiencing joint pain or stiffness, consider the safe and effective natural solution first.
